In this webinar sociologist Uzma Kazi (Lund University) will present her doctoral thesis "Swedish-(Par)Desi: Belonging Narratives of Second-Generation Pakistani Muslims in Sweden” (2024). Her research delas with how identity is formed and everyday lives of Muslims in Sweden. How is ‘Muslim’ identity articulated when intergenerational co-histories interact with the Swedish secular society. The presentation will be followed by a discussion together with David Thurfjell (Södertörn University/IMS).
