Anna Bark Persson, Postdoctoral researcher in English Literature, Umeå University, presents Women Need Mars: Lesbian Mars Beyond Multiplanetarity and Multispecies Flourishing

The presentation is based on Anna Bark Persson's postdoc project “Reimagining the Red Planet: Feminist and Queer Speculative Interventions” where she examines feminist and queer Mars speculative fiction with a focus on how this literature writes back to and challenges earlier speculative Mars fiction as well as more traditional mainstream notions of Mars and space exploration.
