Astrid Erll is Professor of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany). Her research interests are cultural memory, narratology, media theories and intermediality, nineteenth and twentieth-century literatures and cultures (World War I, British imperialism, postcolonialism). Publications include Mediation, Remediation and the Dynamics of Cultural Memory (edited with A. Rigney, 2009), A Companion to Cultural Memory Studies (edited with A. Nünning, 2010) and Memory in Culture (2011). Travels in Time. Essays on Collective Memory in Motion" (OUP 2025), and "Cognition, Culture, and Political Momentum. Breaking Down the Silos in Collective Memory Research" (2026)
