Jag är docent i estetik. Min forskning fokuserar framför allt 1700-talets filosofiska estetik. Jag har varit postdoktoral forskare i estetik vid King’s College i Cambridge (2008–2010), Visiting Fellow vid Columbia University (2010), samt forskare och lärare i estetik vid Filosofiska institutionen vid Uppsala universitet (2012–2015). 2014 och 2016 var jag Visiting Fellow vid Faculty of English (Research Group for Eighteenth-Century and Romantic Studies) i Cambridge. Vid Södertörns högskola har jag varit verksam i RJ-projektet Estetikens århundrade i nytt ljus: estetisk heteronomi från Shaftesbury till Schelling (2017–2020). Jag är hedersmedlem i RCANE (Research Centre for Aesthetics, Nature and Environment) vid ELTE Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest).
