Jag är docent i Kulturgeografi från Uppsala universitet. Min doktorsavhandling (Abbasian, 2003) handlade om invandrade kvinnors egenföretagande och integration i det svenska samhället. Mina forskningsintressen inkluderar olika frågor relaterade till turism och besöksnäringen (e.g. Urban/City tourism, Diaspora Second Home Tourism, City festivals, Destination image creation) samt egenföretagande bland kvinnor och invandrare.

Jag har sedan 2014 granskat vetenskapliga artiklar för flertal internationella journaler inom forskningsfälten Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Hospitality management, Training, och Civil sector.
