I am working as a lecturer in Religious Studies at Södertörn University, with an orientation towards Islamic studies. Mainly, I have devoted my studies to Islam in the past and present, Sufism and Persian Sufi poetry - but I am also interested in different public discources on religion, as well as in questions regarding religion, politics and radicalization.
During the spring semester 2016, I am working in the project Sufism in Sweden, together with The commission for government support for faith communities (SST).
2016-2017 I will do research for the same commission, partly on new religious minorities in Sweden related to ongoing conflicts in Syria and Iraq. A report will be presented, together Göran Larsson (Gothenburg University) in the spring of 2017.

Starting in the fall of 2016 I will also be engaged in a project on tactile didactics, relating to the didactict of the study of Religion.
