I am Associate Professor of Human and Economic Geography from Uppsala University. My doctoral dissertation (Abbasian, 2003) was about Immigrant female entrepreneurship and integration into the Swedish society. My research interests include different issues related to tourism and hospitality (e.g. Urban/ City Tourism, Diaspora Second Home Tourism, City festivals, Destination image creation) plus self-entrepreneurship among women and immigrants.

Since 2014 I have peer-reviewed a large number of scientific articles for several international journals in the research fields of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Hospitality management, Training, and Civil sector.
