Processes, methodology and ethics for insight into professional judgements This course provides a deeper understanding of police work, specifically the methodologies and processes that underpin police operations. Using a pragmatic approach, your experiences from police work are integrated with theory to provide insight into professional judgements by examining ethical perspectives. You will also explore the methodologies used in different national contexts, with the basis being the Swedish context, which is then compared to other nations. Various forms of police collaboration, national and international, are also discussed. You will require a computer with a good internet connection for this course, which is conducted remotely. Teaching has a problem-based approach, and takes the form of web-based lectures, written discussions and hand-in assignments, individually and in groups. Assessment is based on these hand-in assignments and a written take-home examination.
