Associate Professor in Literature. My research interests are, among other topics, Queen Christina of Sweden and her literary patronage; travel literature during the Age of Liberty (1719-72); guidebooks to Rome; the pedagogy of virtue during the seventeenth century and its ireflections in poetry and theatre.
