My research interest revolves around issues of immigration, citizenship, multiculturalism and the welfare state within three thematic areas: historical analyses of the emergence and development of Swedish policies on immigrant integration; comparative analyses of contemporary European integration policies (in particular the current trend known as the civic turn in integration policies); political theoretical debates on multiculturalism, justice and equality.

I am senior lecturer in Political Science at Södertörn University. I am also affiliated researcher at the Department of government, Uppsala University and guest researcher at Uppsala Religion and Society Research Centre, Uppsala University.
