Kerstin Cassel is Associate Professor of Archaeology at Södertörn University. As of 2017, she is also
Pro-Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor’s deputy.
Kerstin Cassel enjoys teaching and meeting students. She was awarded 2008’s Gullegrip (Södertörn University’s students’ union’s prize for the best teacher). Third stream activities are common to both her teaching and research, most recently in the excavation seminars and research at Västra Vång in collaboration with Blekinge Museum.
In addition to teaching and research, at Södertörn University she has held posts that include chair of the faculty board’s committee for humanities and technology, vice-chair of the academic appointments board for the School of Natural Sciences, Technology and Environmental Studies, teacher representative on the governing board and director of studies for the Historical Studies research area.
The researcher is not participating in any projects at this moment.
