I am an Associate Professor of Education, where I teach a range of courses within preschool teacher education and subject teacher education, as well as in our master’s programme in education and our graduate-level courses.

My research is grounded in an interest in pedagogical relations, bildung, and teaching, with a particular focus on the pedagogical possibilities shaped by societal transformations. I have had a particular interest in ethical, political, and aesthetic questions. Currently, I am conducting a research project on undemocratic emotions within education and teaching.

My book The Pedagogical Possibilities of Witnessing and Testimonies – Through the Lens of Agamben (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) is a further development of my doctoral thesis at Stockholm University, Det omöjliga vittnandet: om vittnesmålets pedagogiska möjligheter (Eskaton, 2017). The book explores the pedagogical dimensions of witnessing and testimonies.

In my research, I have also investigated and written about phenomena such as play, the common good, public schools, escapism, profanation, television series, emotions, shame, narrative and subjectivity within the framework of education, teaching, society and schools. My research has been published as articles and essays by both Swedish and international publishers and journals - see above under "Publications".

I am member of different international research organizations, such as the EERA (European Educational Research Association); and the INPE (International Network of Philosophers of Education). I am co-convener for Network 13, Philosophy of Education at EERA. I am a member of the editorial board of Studies in Philosophy and Education.

I am active as a literary writer, see here External link. for my literary work.
