On this course, you will learn to summarise and discuss central methods in media and communication studies at an advanced level, and critically reflect upon, contextualise and historicise methods in media and communication studies. The focus is on the independent and critical use of advanced methods in this research field, and you will develop a research design for a scientific problem in media and communication studies, as well as reflect on what critique means in relation to methods in media and communication studies.

Course design

The course is seminar-based, and examined through a written report, active participation in seminars and oral presentation.
