The course addresses political issues surrounding security, conflict and peace. Different dimensions of security, conflict and peace are explored, both socioculturally and politically.
Processes and tools at various levels for creating sustainable peace are examined. Central theoretical perspectives are discussed, problematised and applied to aid in understanding the meaning of security, conflict and peace, as well as the relationships between these concepts. Empirical examples and applications are used to concretise the concepts and theories covered in the course.
