Describe and define events using analysis and critical reflection

On this course, you examine different types of event in relation to their origin, purpose and evolution over time, as well as their economic, ecological and social impact. You will identify the events’ key stakeholders, their roles and different visitor segments, and their significance to places, societies, regions and communities in the era of globalisation.

You will independently analyse and critically reflect on an event phenomenon, using a scholarly perspective, to produce a written report. The course also includes oral presentations at seminars, as well as a peer review process in which you will review another students’ essay and respond to a review of yours.
