You will be introduced to a selection of texts and contexts in English-language literary and cultural studies, with a focus on North America and the Caribbean. The student broadens their understanding of literary production and genres such as fiction, drama and hip-hop, as well as their knowledge of historical and societal contexts in the English-speaking world. Close reading skills are consolidated. Finally, the student further develops their ability to discuss literature and culture in a self-reflective manner and to produce proficient written and oral analyses following fundamental academic conventions.
