Third stream activities

Education in Business Studies at Södertörn University is linked to the latest research in the field. Close contacts between research, education and business, nationally and internationally, are vital to our activities.

Collaboration and links to working life are a priority for us, and we have developed close cooperation with the labour market in specific industries. Visiting lecturers, study visits, mentor businesses and placements are used to strengthen links to the students’ future working lives and to actualise educational content. We believe it is important that the students can discuss and problematise both theory and practice with representatives for different areas of society.

Contract education is another prioritised area. We conduct courses for companies, public authorities and organisations in the sector, such as accounting, management and cultural policy, as well as entrepreneurship for teachers.

Researchers in the subject also conduct research projects as co-production with business and with partial financing from the Knowledge Foundation, among others.
