Booking appointments via our booking system

You can book a guidance session via our booking system. If you are a student at the University College of Music Education, please book your appointment via email studieverkstan@sh.se or visit us during the drop-in hours, on Mondays 14–16 and Thursdays 14–16.

Read this before you book an appointment

  • You can only book one session each time. If you discover that you cannot come to your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible so someone else can use that time.
  • A session can be booked no more than 31 days in advance.
  • If you would like guidance on a text you have written, we would like to read your text before the appointment. Upload the file to your booking at least two working days before your appointment. If you append your text later than this, we cannot guarantee that we will have time to read it in advance (but please upload it anyway). We normally read a maximum of three pages prior to a guidance session.

Our drop-in times for open workshops (Mondays 14–16 and Thursdays 14–16) cannot be booked in advance. If there is a queue for an open workshop we have a queue system, which is a list on the door of our room. Write up your name when you arrive; we recommend that you are here when the open workshop starts, because we are only able to work with a limited number of students at one time. At these sessions, each student receives a maximum of 15 minutes’ guidance.

Book extra guidance time if you have a disability

If you have a certificate entitling you to disability support, you can get extra guidance from the Study Support Unit. This applies to students at Södertörn University at the Swedish Red Cross University College. If you are eligible to book the university’s resource room, you can book extended guidance sessions in our booking system. Choose the option for “Utökad handledning” (extended guidance) when you choose the type of guidance. Naturally, you are welcome to book other types of guidance too.

Do you have a certificate for disability support, but are not eligible to book the resource room? If so, email Elisabeth Drion, who teaches at the Study Support Unit. State why you want to be able to book an extended guidance time in your e-mail. Don’t forget to write your name in the e-mail. You will receive eligibility in a few days. Send your e-mail to elisabeth.drion@sh.se.
