Associate Professor in Political Science fosucing on European studies

Current Tasks: Programme Coordinator for the European Studies Programme (‘Europaprogrammet’); Representative of the SNES (Swedish Network for European Studies in Political Science).

My research centers on EU institutions, policymaking, regulation, and the implementation of EU law and policies in member states. I have a particular interest in social policies, the single market, and the dynamics of compliance and enforcement of EU law. My work has appeared in renowned journals, including West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Common Market Studies, European Union Politics, Journal of European Social Policy, ILR Review, Social Policy & Administration, Politics and Governance, and Journal of European Integration, among others.

Before joining Södertörn University in 2024, I was an Associate Professor at Linnaeus University (2016–2024) and held research positions at Copenhagen Business School (2020–2022) and the University of Vienna (2016, 2018), where I completed my PhD in 2016. Prior to academia, I worked at the University of Vienna as a publication and communication manager (2013–2015), in conflict management and community work in social housing for the City of Vienna (2009–2013), and in the European Parliament as head of office and policy adviser (2007–2009) in Brussels and Strasbourg.
