Education and Qualifications

I am an art historian at Södertörn University in Sweden. I completed my Ph.D. in Art History at Stockholm University in 2016 with a dissertation on national portrait collections and late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century art historical writings on early modern portraiture.

From 2019 to 2022, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Art and Visual History at the Humboldt University in Berlin, alongside a postdoctoral position in media history in the Department of Communication and Media at Lund University in Sweden. This three-year international postdoctoral research position was funded by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and focused on copies and copying practices in 17th-century painting in Northern Europe.

In spring 2023, I was also a research fellow at the Rubenianum, Research Institute for Flemish Art of the 16th and 17th Centuries, in Antwerp, Belgium.

In addition to my research I have tought art history at several universities in Sweden (Stockholm University, Södertörn University, Uppsala University and Umeå University) from 2012 until now (2025). I have also presented my research at numerous international conferences, the details of which are listed below.

Information about my publications can be accessed via the 'Publications' link above, and they are also listed below.
