Get talking books and other accessible media

During the summer, the form usually found on this page is temporarily deactivated, and you may have to wait longer to get in contact with us. But email us at and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Want to get a free speech synthesizer program? All SH students can download TorTalk free of charge. More information on the page Study Support Unit.

Have you got a reading impairment that is affecting your studies? If so, you can get your mandatory course literature as talking books, Braille or e-text, depending on the character of your reading impairment. Welcome to our Accessible Media Service team.

Here you can book an introduction to talking books and other accessible media. You will find more information on page Library help and support for students with a disability. All introductions are currently held using Zoom.

If you wish, you can also email us at We have no phone number, but if you prefer, you can call the library at 08‑608 4016 and give your name and phone number to the person answering the phone, and we will get back to you.

Who has the right to use accessible media? Find out if you can on Legimus. External link, opens in new window.
