Romina Rodela is a researcher working in the interdisciplinary field of environmental governance with research interests in biodiversity governance, participatory approaches, collective action & social learning. She is currently managing the research project titled "Environmental Governance in Context" which focuses on civil action and social movements for environmental governance across four countries. The project is funded by the ÖSS.

From Oct 2018 to Feb 2020 she is a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Primorska (Slovenia) Collaborating on the research titled: "Contemporary trends in globalization and localization: challenges and opportunities faced by marginal rural areas".

From May 2015 to May 2016 she was a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Humanities of Utrecht University working on a research titled "Cooperation and Institutions for Collective Action".

She is currently Guest Editor, together with Åsa Gerger Swartling (Stockholm Environment Institute) to a Special Issue titled "Environmental governance in an increasingly complex world: reflections on transdisciplinary collaborations for knowledge co-production and learning" to be appearing in the journal Environmental Policy & Governance.

Romina is available for supervision of M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis on topics and themes as listed in the rolling call published here.
