The POLOR research project is currently investigating political thinking and behaviour based on a psychological perspective. In this large project, we are examining psychological aspects that can be related to political orientation in new and older democracies, with Latvia and Sweden as examples. We are interested in commonalities and differences in political thought in the two countries, and in which psychological aspects are the foundation of different political orientations.
Senior Lecturer Maria Sandgren from Södertörn University is research leader. Other participants are: Professor Emeritus Henry Montgomery from Stockholm University and Professor Girts Dimdins from the University of Latvia in Riga.
